Meet Your Instructor
Joshua Bowman has a B.A. from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and a Teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) certificate from the Northern Virginia Community College. He is also a lifetime member of Phi Sigma Iota (the International Foreign Language Honor Society)
He has taught English as a Second Language for the American Culture and Language Institute (ACLI) for the past five years. He also taught English as a Second Language (ESL) in China and has worked in leadership and training roles for a large nonprofit organization.
In addition to general ESL classes, he has also taught courses on Career Readiness, Digital Literacy, Business and Technical Writing, and Workplace English.
Josh has taught nearly a thousand students from ages 17 to 85 years old and from every corner of the world. He uses interesting and engaging real-life exercises in a supportive, friendly environment. He believes students who are confident and comfortable experience the greatest development.
Josh believes you learn best when you enjoy learning and applying what you learned. So, he provides a safe, friendly place to learn, practice, and grow as you become confident and comfortable with your new skills.
